In Uruguay

Location: Colonia, Uruguay
Before leaving Buenos Aires we decided to spend one day in Colonia, a small town in Uruguay. We went there by boat for a day, and it was very nice. It’s a very old little village with beautiful street, and a beach… very nice to spend a day there!!!

In Buenos aires

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentine
When we arrived in Buenos Aires first thing I’ve noticed, is that all the street are uuuuuuuuge !! There is a lot of very large street it seems that there is not a lot of problem with the traffic unlike all other big cities.

We stay few days in Buenos Aires to visit the city. The architecture in here is very nice, and very European. A lot of building was exactly like in Paris or other European cities.

We also visit the district of Boca, which is very nice and colorful.

You can’t go to Buenos Aires without going to a Tango show…. So we went in Café Tortoni, a very old and famous place in Buenos Aires to see a show, and it was really cool!!!

A lot of people told us to go to Tigre, in north of Buenos Aires…. So we went there…
And well, it was a nice experience, but not really nice place for tourist. It’s more like week-end destination for all family living in Buenos Aires. Exactly like people living in Montreal go to there chalet in the Laurentides, Buenos Aires families go to there house in Tigre.
There is a lot of river in the area, we did a little boat trip around to see what it looks like, and well all along the river there is houses with people relaxing and enjoying every kind of water activity in the (very dirty) river.

As conclusion, Buenos Aires is very nice city, I really like in here. The only bad point in here is that people here are not very polite; sometimes it can be very annoying… except that, this city is perfect

In iguazu falls !!

Location: Iguazú, Argentine
After a small stop in São Paulo, and 15h in a bus... we arrive in Iguaçu!!!
Just the time to put all our stuff in the hostel, and w leave to go to the Brazilian side of Iguaçu falls.

First impression... it's huge!!! We walked along the water falls and went on a small platform in the middle of the falls, with amazing view!!!
There were a lot of clouds that's a bit sad for the photos, but at least we didn't get any rain :)

The next day we had to cross the border and go to the Argentina side of the falls.
But when we wake up..... bad news, it was raining like crazy and it was going to be like that all day...
So we dressed up correctly.......

....And went outside to take the bus to Argentina
It was raining too much to see correctly the falls so we stayed at the hostel for the day, and went in the falls the next day...

Next day was better, still a lot of cloud, but almost no rain, and some sun 

So we visit all the Argentina side, that is bigger that the Brazilian side, and really amazing too !!!

In sao paulo !!

Location: São Paulo, Brésil
I arrived in Sao Paulo in the morning, I directly went to the airport to pick up my sister, and then we had three days to visit the city as much as possible.

We visit the centre that was nice, and some cool street, and very big park. That's funny that they have there own empire state building (Banespa building with a nice view on all the city) and there own central park (Ibirapuera park)

And after this small stop in this big city (ugly and dirty as my sister said), it was time to take a bus to go to Iguazu falls!!

In Rio !!!

Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brésil
After a very nice month in Peru and the time to get my ups I finally went in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil...
A very long trip by plan to Sao Paulo, with a stop at Santiago. Few hours in Sao Paulo and a bus to Rio.
During the few hours in Sao Paulo someone try to stole my iPhone, I had just enough reflex to avoid the thief. After that I didn't use a lot my iPhone to be sure that it won't happen again. That's why I didn't take a lot of picture in Rio.
So after this long trip I finally manage to get in Rio.
I didn't get lucky with the hostels the first one was in the middle of a favela, the second was the worst hostel ever, very very very dirty and bad staff... and as it was a long holiday weekend all other hotel was full... until I finally find one very good with some very nice roommates :)

AAs for Rio it's a nice city, I visit the most touristic stuff like the Corcovado, Santa Theresa, the cathedral, the place where there is the carnivals.... it was very nice. But because of the bad weather on the last days, I missed the sugar loaf … it will make a good excuse to come back here ;)

I was staying in ipanema so I had a great time on the beach. Swimming in very nice water, lying down on the sand, doing some slackline between palm-trees on the beach during the sunset, playing volleyball.... very nice :)

I also enjoyed a lot the nightlife in Rio, I had some very nice party all night long, meeting some very nice guy!!
But after one week in Rio, it was already time to move on to the next step.... would like to have more time in Rio, and visit some other cities in Brazil like Salvador or other cities more north.
Anyway, it was time to take the bus back to Sao Paulo....

Retour a lima

A Trujilo

Location: Trujillo, Pérou
Dernière destination au Pérou... Trujillo !!
