Around Queenstown !!

I’m now looking for a job, and in the mean time I’m enjoying all the nice spot around Queenstown. I went to Glenorchy, at the other side of the lake, and the road in really beautiful, we continue a bit further away on a very small dirt road, and the view was also amazing. It was really nice!!

 I also went skiing with my ne housemates for a day, we went in Remarkables for the opening day. It’s a very small ski resort close to Queenstown. It was a really good day even if there isn’t much snow yet, and only two small slope open, I still had a really good time, it’s sooooo good to be back on skis after more than a year !!!!!!

In Wanaka !!

Just one hour away from Queenstown there is a very small town called Wanaka, also close to some awesome ski resort, as Queenstown Wanaka is just next to a beautiful lake (Lake Wanaka), and surrounded by mountains. It is very small but really beautiful place!!!

 I spend few days here to look for jobs, but as it is smaller that Queenstown it looks that there is much less job opportunities. so I went back in Queenstown to continue my job hunting.

in Queenstown, 1st days !!!

Just the approching of queenstown in the plan was cool, just flying between the montains to land just in front of the lac, was really nice !

 The city is quite small but really amazing, all is really beautiful and people are really friendly Just on the side of the lac Wakatipu, surrounded by mountains the view is amazing all around!! The only bad part is that there is no sun in town after 3pm. Just walking in the street reminded me my mountains around Grenoble, it feel very good to be here!!

 For the job hunt, it is not very easy. Finding a job in a ski resort is almost impossible so I try to find one in town, so far it is very quite in town so there is not a lot of job, but it supposed to get crowded soon and a lot of job should come up, I hope to get one quickly but it won’t be easy as there is a lot of people looking for job like me…

Départ d’Auckland vers Queenstown

Apres avoir passé environ 3 mois a Auckland, il est temps de partir vers le sud, l’hiver arrive et j’ai bien l’intention de profiter des montagnes autour de Queenstown !! J’ai passé des bons moments a Auckland, la ville était plutôt agréable, mais je n’ai pas trouvé tout ce que je cherchais. Il est temps de passer a autre chose et de recommencer au milieu des montagne, j’espère enfin trouver tout ce qu’il me faut ici !!
